Do not store weights in empty crock or they may grow some mold.

It is very easy to use and to clean. The water lock feature means no checking and skimming each day.

It is very easy to clean, hand wash with liquid soap and a sponge, air dry. Effortlessly remove the silicone sleeve to wash, simply rinse the filter. DO NOT USE HOT OR BOILING WATER. GLASS COULD BREAK. DO NOT PUT IN THE DISHWASHER.

It came double boxed and the package box was perfect for wrapping if this is a gift. It is stylish enough to be left on the kitchen counter and not stick out no matter your décor. Although the description says it comes with one recipe book, it comes with two.

The weight is not brittle or cheap like others that are on the market that cost as much or more. I have been making my own sauerkraut for years and highly recommend this product!
